On Australian wind farms, you’ll find many of same turbine models as in other markets, and most wind farms in Australia have been in operation for 20 years, making it an ideal venue to take two decades of lessons learned and apply them for better outcomes in the US, Europe, and elsewhere.
On the other hand, on a recent podcast, we noted the surprisingly high number of wind farms in Australia that are losing money. (See figure below.)
So maybe it’s counterintuitive to host an O&M event there that’s intended to impart profit strategies and best practices.
Experience is the Best Teacher
Operators, asset owners and managers looking for a broad view of issues plaguing wind farms and more importantly, solutions that work, know that the country has an experienced knowledge base and experienced wind professionals who are eager to share their experience and know-how to improve outcomes and move the profession forward.
Agenda: What Will You Learn?
On the opening day, we’ll compare Australian wind farm operating costs compare to those in the USA and Europe, and then move quickly into practical solutions territory.

What can you do to ensure your assets operate profitably, even under a wind turbine OEM long term service agreement?
