Why are gou talking about not moving the 20 MW Path when one European OEM is already ahead of the pack? I think you are misinformed.

Vestas and GE Vernova are not moving to 20MW. Siemens Gamesa appears to be testing a 21MW turbine but has not made a decision about production.

You could argue if GE is worth spending words on in the offshore context. By talking about building an 18MW WTG and then testing it for 5 years in the Nordics and then scaling it back to a 15 MW WTG with the same timeline they completely missed it. Meanwhile their CEO says they have not been accepting any new orders; which is pretty funny. I've also not been accepting any hypercars as gifts...

Regarding new platforms from EU OEMs How realistic is it for an OEM to make a massive investment in a new platform and not move forward with it... They are simply communicating only with the relevant stakeholders; their clients.

In my opinion Vestas will come when their pipeline starts drying up. It would be suicidal if they are not working on a next generation platform behind the screens. It's likely more a money issue which brings us to the bigger problem. EU should be subsidizing the R&D efforts of the OEM's much more given what is at stake in the bigger context.
